Product Description:
Planar lightwave circuit (PLC) splitter adopts silica optical waveguide technology and is used for optical power allocation from the central office to customer premises in FTTx and FTTH networks.
GuangHong Mini Steel Tube Fiber Optic PLC (Planar Lightwave Circuit) splitter is not terminated with fiber optic connectors and could be spliced with optical fibers in distribution cables and drop cables. It is relatively fragile on fiber protection and need a complete protection design on carrying box body and device. It can be installed in the pigtail cassette, test instrument and WDM system, which offers a cost-effective and space-saving networking solution in an optical transmission system.
PLC Splitter is used to separate or combine optical signals, which is developed based on unique quartz glass waveguide and processes with reliable precision aligned fiber pigtail in a miniature package. Waveguides are fabricated using lithography onto a silica glass substrate, which allows for routing specific percentages of light. As a result, PLC splitters offer accurate and even splits with minimal loss in an efficient package. It provides a low cost light distribution solution with small form factor and high reliability. It is widely used in PON/ODN networks to realize optical signal power splitting with 1xN or 2xN splitting ratio.
